Effects of heat treatment defects on seamless steel tubes
For seamless pipe heat treatment, the defects are as follows:
① surface decarburization is caused by improper heat treatment operations, the defect reduces the hardness of the surface of the seamless steel pipe spot, stress inconsistent cooling process inside and outside the organization, making it easy to produce seamless steel pipe spot quenching cracks, while reducing the fatigue strength and service life.
② low hardness resulting in seamless steel pipe spot deformation or bending in the service process, affecting its normal work.
③ direct quenching cracks unusable.
④ link inhomogeneity affect machining accuracy and reduce the mechanical strength of the matrix; likely to cause quench cracking seamless steel pipe spot; hardness inconsistent with discontinuity caused by the deformation of seamless steel tubes spot.
For seamless steel spot intensive shot peening, the surface of the material to produce severe plastic deformation, crystal lattice distortion, a high density of dislocation tangles, the surface obtained hardened, surface hardness increases, improved flexural strength and resistance to compression fatigue strength.
