Low carbon steel pipe

  Low carbon steel pipe

Low carbon steel means that carbon content is from 0.10 to 0.30% low carbon steel easily accepted by various processing such as forging, welding and cutting, commonly used in the manufacturing chain, rivets, bolts, shafts, etc.. the finished product is low carbon steel pipe. It includes the most ordinary carbon structural steel, and part of high-quality carbon structural steel, mostly without heat treatment for engineering structural components, some by carburizing and heat treatment for the requirements of wear of mechanical parts.

Low-carbon steel is generally rolled into angles, channels, beams, steel pipes, steel strip or sheet steel for the production of various building components, container, box, furnace and farm machinery. The high-quality low-carbon steel is rolled into sheets, making the the cab car hood deep drawing products; rolled into bars for less demanding mechanical parts production strength. Low carbon steel is generally not by heat treatment before use by more than 0.15% of the carbon content in carburized or cyanide processing for applications requiring high surface temperature, good abrasion shaft, bushings, sprockets and other parts.

Low carbon steel due to the lower strength, use is restricted. Appropriate increase in the manganese content in carbon steel, and added of trace vanadium, titanium, niobium alloy elements, can greatly improve the strength of steel. Reduce the carbon content and adding a small amount of aluminum, a small amount of boron and carbide-forming elements, you can get a the ULCB group enough high strength and maintain good ductility and toughness.
